Standing Orders
Explanatory Note
Standing orders set out the rules for the conduct of the Council's meetings and its organisational, administrative and procurement arrangements and, for a parish council, are subject to many statutory requirements. Standing orders may also control the arrangements for committee and sub-committee meetings which are subject to fewer statutory requirements.
In these Standing Orders, 'councillor' includes a non-councillor serving on the Council or a committee, with or without voting rights.
Standing orders that are in heavier text contain statutory requirements.
